He completed his prestigious fellowship in Pain Medicine at NYU Langone Health, one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers, following an anesthesiology residency at Mount Sinai West/Morningside Hospitals in New York City.

Dr. Shao holds dual professional degrees: a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Stony Brook University School of Medicine and a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from St. John’s University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
